Jasha Joachimsthal, developer at Hippo, is officially asked to become Apache Cocoon Committer. The number of committers of the international community Apache software developers is limited because of the stringent admissions. Joachimsthal is already the ninth Hippo employee who may hold such an exclusive position.

JTeam and Hippo produce official KNVB Soccer website onsoranje.nl

Onsoranje.nl, the official website of the Dutch National soccer team has been launched based on Hippo Content Management System software. JTeam a java based system integrator has in co-operation with Hippo, supplier of the open source CMS and Portal software with the same name, produced this official website of the KNVB (Royal Dutch Football Federation).

Hippo, the Dutch vendor of open source enterprise content management and portal software belongs to the top 10 website management company's with the best image in the Netherlands. Hippo came in seventh in the category website management, which is part of the Emerce 100. This is an election of company's with the best image in e-business in the Netherlands. Hippo is the only vendor of open source enterprise content management software in the complete list.
