Hippo is expanding in Germany with new partner Satzmedia

While Hippo CMS is widely used in North American companies, the partnership of Hippo and Satzmedia first time offers professional open source solutions for content-rich, complex and international websites in the German market. This is possible through the rich-featured Java Open Source Web Content Management of Hippo and its intuitive editorial handling.

With the standard open source system Satzmedia can concentrate on the individual requirements and technical interfaces for customers and yet offer shorter project timetables and release cycles for new features. Satzmedias focus onto the channels “web”, “mobile” and “social” is well supported by the context-aware publication functionality in the Hippo CMS.

Jeroen Verberg, CEO at Hippo, says: “Interest from Germany has been increasing rapidly and therefore we are excited to have Satzmedia sign up as Hippo partner. Their top tier customer base, open source experience and highly skilled team makes it a great fit.”

An important requirement of Satzmedia was to seamlessly integrate Hippo CMS into the standard shop system alixa®. With the integration into Liferay, Hippo supports the underlying portal architecture of alixa® and therefore makes it an attractive alternative for the simple alixa® build-in CMS.

“Our strategic decision has been reaffirmed to use and integrate open source enterprise solutions only." says Christian Satz, Founder and Managing Director of Satzmedia.

For companies looking for an internet-based solution for managing information, communication and transaction, this partnership offers seamless solutions on content, commerce and community across all channels.
