Dutch Police wins best website of the year award (Website of the Dutch Police) has once again been chosen as Best Website of the Year and Best Government Website by the Dutch online marketing community Emerce. This year, 892.000 votes were counted.

The website of the Dutch Police was praised for its functional organisation, clarity and ability to inform its 2.5 million diverse monthly visitors. In the past year, the Dutch Police have worked hard on implementing new functionalities, such as secured online crime reporting.

Ron de Milde, Program Director Media Policy and Digital Media at the Dutch Police, said he was proud and happy with the award: “With all the new functionalities, has become an even better digital service portal for citizens to communicate with the Police. is helping us to prevent crime and catch the bad guys.”

It’s the second time that wins the award, selected by the public and a qualitative jury from nominees in 24 different categories such as the energy sector, media, government and sports.
