Bloomreach Named a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Cross-Channel Campaign Management (Independent Platforms), Q3 2021

Bloomreach was named a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Cross-Channel Campaign Management (Independent Platforms), Q3 2021 (expired). We believe the designation proves publicly what we at Bloomreach have known for a long time: that the Bloomreach Experience Platform goes above and beyond to provide exceptional commerce experiences for those who use it. 

In addition to being recognized as a Leader, Bloomreach ranked highest in the current offering category, which includes criteria such as customer data management, customer analytics, campaign design, and campaign orchestration

The report identifies the most significant cross-channel campaign management providers, evaluating platforms against the aforementioned predetermined range of criteria. The recognition is yet another feather in the cap for Bloomreach as we were also recognized as a Strong Performer earlier in quarter three in The Forrester Wave™: Digital Experience Platforms, Q3, 2021.

The Rapid Integration of Exponea Paved The Way

This is the first time Bloomreach has participated in The Forrester Wave™ for CCCM independent platforms and gained recognition as a Leader. Prior to the integration of Exponea, Bloomreach was not eligible to be considered for scoring in the CCCM report because it did not have a customer data platform (CDP) as a part of its digital experience platform (DXP) offering. Adding the CDP and marketing automation capabilities of Bloomreach Engagement, our Customer Data and Experience Platform (CDXP), caught the attention of Forrester as this is a big part of scoring well in the category. 

The Forrester Wave™: CCCM report provides a guide for buyers considering their options in the technology marketplace. To offer an equitable process for all participants, Forrester allows a publicly available methodology, which is applied consistently across all participating vendors. 

The Forrester Wave™: CCCM consistently provides seekers with an outstanding shortlist of vendors and is the perfect tool to assist in learning who the key players in the market are. It is an important asset to marketing leaders that aids in making crucial decisions for the future. 

What Does It Mean To Be A Leader?

What does it take to be a Leader in the The Forrester Wave™: CCCM report? A comprehensive commitment to serving customers at a high level in a variety of different ways. It takes having a product that is strong across the board, rather than in just one area. 

And it’s not just Forrester’s evaluation that helps create the scoring for companies. Forrester interviews customers and incorporates their feedback into the evaluation process so that end users are represented in the process. So we believe it is the success of our customers using the platform today that is the real reason behind our being named a Leader.

Our highest marks were scored in the “current offering” category of the scorecard and deeper yet, the highest score possible in the customer analytics criterion (a five of five). Bloomreach also scored among the highest in the customer data management criterion and fourth highest in the measurement and optimization criterion. 

We are honored to be named a Leader because Forrester’s research process is thorough and exhaustive. The report specifically states: 

“Bloomreach joins our CCCM evaluation courtesy of its acquisition of Exponea in early 2021. Its Bloomreach Experience Platform combines the newly-branded Bloomreach CDP and Bloomreach Engagement modules with Bloomreach Discovery and Bloomreach Content. Exponea boosts Bloomreach’s strong presence in the retail industry as more than half of its 400 customers are e-commerce retailers or direct-to-consumer (DTC) manufacturers. The remainder span verticals including financial services and telecommunications. European mid market firms represent nearly 90% of its install base, but Bloomreach is rapidly expanding – especially in the Americas – on the heels of the Exponea acquisition as well as a new $150 million round of investment.”

“Bloomreach differentiates with an intuitive [user experience] UX that makes its complex AI algorithms accessible to marketing users. Its slick testing, optimization, and reporting tools surface opportunities and recommend improvements. It also offers balanced channel orchestration across digital and human assisted channels, though its mobile coverage lags other vendors. Its European retail and banking references registered the most comprehensive channel mix in this study – 12 channels each today with plans to take that number to 17 in the next two years. Digital marketing teams across verticals should consider Bloomreach as an innovative, AI-driven solution to empower their CCCM users.”

Specifically, we feel Bloomreach received this result because our clients are able to take full advantage of our current capabilities to connect with their consumers. In addition to our recognition with Forrester, Bloomreach was recognized as a Customers’ Choice in the May 2021 Gartner Peer Insights ‘Voice of the Customer’: Digital Experience Platforms. 

We believe our position in The Forrester Wave™: CCCM  signifies that Bloomreach has cemented its place at the top of the market thanks in large part to the acquisition of Exponea in early 2021 and the development of Bloomreach Engagement as the third pillar of the Bloomreach Experience Platform. The determination and hard work of our dedicated team shines through with this designation.

One customer reference that came from a five-year Bloomreach Engagement (formerly Exponea) user states: “We see a bright future with Bloomreach and its roadmap to bring a headless content management system (CMS) capabilities to the platform”.
