Our AI \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomreach.com\/en\/products\/loomi\"><u>Loomi<\/u><\/a> \u2014 was built with ecommerce use cases and challenges in mind, and it\u2019s what allows us to deliver impactful <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomreach.com\/en\/blog\/best-semantic-search-engine\"><u>product discovery<\/u><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomreach.com\/en\/blog\/how-to-reach-the-right-audience-with-bloomreach-loomi\"><u>merchandising<\/u><\/a>, and more.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Given that we power 25% of the world\u2019s ecommerce, we\u2019re constantly evaluating this data to identify additional areas of value for our customers. That\u2019s why, with the rise of generative AI \u2014 and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomreach.com\/en\/blog\/how-ai-is-revolutionizing-ecommerce-at-an-unprecedented-pace\"><u>unprecedented pace of technological transformation<\/u><\/a> that came with it \u2014 we\u2019ve been able to unlock incredible opportunities to innovate with AI.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">As a result, Bloomreach has been recognized as a Leader in the 2024 Gartner\u00ae Magic Quadrant\u2122 for Search and Product Discovery and a Leader by Forrester over the past year. Learn more about our recent distinctions and how AI helped us get here.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">Bloomreach Receives Industry Recognition<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">We\u2019ve done some amazing work with AI in product discovery over the last few years, and we believe that is the reason for our industry recognitions.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">We\u2019ve recently been recognized as a Leader in the 2024 Gartner\u00ae Magic Quadrant\u2122 for Search and Product Discovery. Gartner evaluated Bloomreach for our product <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomreach.com\/en\/products\/discovery\"><u>Bloomreach Discovery<\/u><\/a> in the report.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bloomreach.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/gartner-mq-blog-in-article.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Meanwhile, we were also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomreach.com\/en\/blog\/bloomreach-named-a-leader-in-the-forrester-wave\"><u>named a Leader<\/u><\/a> in The Forrester Wave\u2122: Commerce Search and Product Discovery, Q3 2023. Forrester had this to say about Bloomreach Discovery in their writeup:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cBloomreach balances broad functionality with modular architecture. Bloomreach is a well-established player in this market that continues to acquire and internally innovate. Its strong vision puts the merchandiser at the center of its strategic decisions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bloomreach.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/forrester-wave-commerce-search-blog-in-article.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">Taking Product Discovery to the Next Level<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">How did we manage to be recognized by industry analysts? It all comes down to generative AI. Generative AI advancements have allowed us to take advantage of technologies like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomreach.com\/en\/blog\/two-tower-neural-networks\"><u>two-tower neural networks<\/u><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomreach.com\/en\/blog\/where-do-large-language-models-fit-into-the-future-of-e-commerce\"><u>large language models (LLMs)<\/u><\/a> to greatly scale up the way we train AI models. This, in turn, has also sped up our ability to enhance product discovery and create truly personalized experiences.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">One of our latest ways of introducing LLMs into product discovery is a feature we call <a href=\"https:\/\/documentation.bloomreach.com\/discovery\/docs\/search-recall-precision-algorithm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>LLM-based precision<\/u><\/a>. At a high level, this is a way to reduce noise in your search results. Traditionally, this common problem has been solved by leveraging pixel data and intelligent ranking strategies, but that doesn\u2019t work for every query. By leveraging LLMs and their superior contextual understanding, we can now solve this in a pixel-less way. The results for customers are already staggering. One brand saw its average CVR increase from 4% to 7%, its search bounce rate decrease by 2-3% points, and its search RPV increase by 25% \u2014 <b><strong>all within seven days <\/strong><\/b>of turning on the feature. These results are just from applying LLM to one specific area of search recall, and we see many more ways to incorporate it across all of product discovery.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Another AI-powered feature we\u2019ve introduced is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomreach.com\/en\/blog\/creating-immediate-value-with-real-time-segments-in-bloomreach-discovery\"><u>real-time segments<\/u><\/a>. As customers take actions on the site \u2014 even if it\u2019s their first visit \u2014 Loomi learns from that behavior and updates search results in real time to match their preferences. Loomi essentially looks at your audience segments and then trains itself on the dataset so it can build personalized rankings for each segment.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Let\u2019s say a customer searches for \u201cjackets\u201d on your site. That first search may lead to a wide range of results. But as the customer views items and makes additional search queries, Loomi will take that info, along with any other relevant customer data it\u2019s analyzed, and make updates within milliseconds to match those preferences. So if this customer is in the UK and likes hiking \u2014 the results they see for jackets will end up being very different from, say, a customer in Australia who likes cycling.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bloomreach.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/gartner-thought-leadership-1.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Our innovations with AI are what make this level of personalization possible, and it\u2019s also opened up new avenues for personalization, like our recently released <a href=\"https:\/\/documentation.bloomreach.com\/discovery\/docs\/visual-search\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>&#8220;Shop the Look&#8221;<\/u><\/a> feature. This feature allows shoppers to upload an image and get personalized product recommendations \u2014 without needing to type a single word. Loomi can process visual data for fashion catalogs, extract the right product information, and then instantly serve up products with similar attributes, representing a huge leap forward in how AI can deliver seamlessly personalized experiences for consumers.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bloomreach.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/gartner-thought-leadership-2.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">We\u2019ve made incredible strides in using AI to improve the online shopping experience, and it\u2019s an honor to have these innovations recognized by such authoritative voices in the industry. And as I mentioned earlier, we\u2019re always on the search for new ways to bring value to our customers.
