Hippo Makes Significant Move into the Visionaries Quadrant in the 2016 “Gartner Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management”

Hippo is proud to announce that it made a significant move in the Gartner 2016 report, being the only provider of WCM to make a significant move from the Niche Players to the Visionaries quadrant over the past year. The Magic Quadrant evaluates vendors on the quality of their vision and their ability to execute on that vision, and is one of the most reliable and influential resources in the industry for an objective perspective on the Web Content Management space. Hippo believes its inclusion in the Visionaries quadrant is a strong recognition of Hippo’s forward-thinking and technologically-driven product vision.

"I would like to thank our clients, partners and the Hippo team for contributing to the significant shift in this year’s Magic Quadrant. Seeing such a significant move in our second year of inclusion in the MQ is a victory for all of us, and, I believe, a validation of our future-focused vision," states Jeroen Verberg, CEO and co-founder of Hippo. "From our very beginnings, Hippo continually redefined the CMS space through a focus on looking ahead and innovating for future-readiness - of our product and of our clients' business. We feel our position in the Visionaries quadrant is recognition that the powerful combination of our world-class technology and our customer-centric, forward-thinking approach is helping to set the direction of the web content management market."

For the second year in a row, Hippo is the only open-source Java WCM technology included in the Magic Quadrant.

Hippo’s improved positioning in this year’s Magic Quadrant is the latest in a series of significant milestones for the company in 2016 which includes record H1 growth, increased digital experience agility with the launch of the new onDemand cloud platform, greater ease-of-use to the user interface with the release of Hippo V11, and the recognition as a trendsetting product of 2016.
