Senior SEO Strategist

As a Senior SEO Strategist, you will work with some of the leading web sites in the world to help deliver high quality customer experiences and drive fantastic results with their Organic Search initiatives. You will apply your deep SEO experience to ensure SEO best practices are followed and to find cutting-edge opportunities to grow organic traffic. In this role, you will work with a variety of websites from some of the most advanced commerce sites in the world to other up-and-coming sites. In addition to site specific work, you will provide thought leadership around SEO, user experience, content strategies, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • SEO Expertise.  Perform site audits to develop comprehensive understanding of technical SEO handling practices, to effectively address a diverse range of issues related to the programmatic functionality of a website, and to identify any integration issues we may face when integrating with the site
  • Drive Results.  Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking, landing pages and other factors to improve organic performance
  • Data Insights.  Using our proprietary site performance and audit tools, you will provide clients with data driven recommendations on how to improve their sites.
  • Thought Leadership.  Educate on SEO competitive landscape, best practices and algorithm updates

Skills / Experience:

  • 5 - 7+ years working in an agency or consulting firm with direct SEO experience
  • Advanced proficiency and clear understanding of website performance metrics, their significance to SEO, and how to track meaningful data using some of these tools
    • Google Analytics, Omniture and Coremetrics
    • Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools
    • Other 3rd party SEO tools
  • Keyword Research Tools: Google Adwords, Insights and client’s PPC data
  • Experience working in a strong metrics driven culture to measure the performance of SEO
  • Strong understanding of HTML/CSS/JS knowledge
  • Great communication skills, with the ability to present information in spoken, written or visual form to a variety of audiences, from internal teams to external client executives
  • Stay current on the SEO competitive landscape, best practices and algorithm updates
  • Extreme attention to detail and great organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and project deadlines (project management experience a plus)
  • Experience working in or supporting a customer service environment
  • Ability to leverage business experience / acumen to identify new business and marketing opportunities
