Raj De Datta
CEO and Co-founder
Raj is a career entrepreneur who was on the founding team of two successful technology start-ups before co-founding BloomReach, Inc. with Ashutosh Garg. Most recently, he was an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at Mohr-Davidow Ventures (MDV). Prior to MDV, Raj was a Director of Product Marketing at Cisco responsible for Application-Oriented Networking. Raj's first venture was telecom company FirstMark/LambdaNet, which grew to $80 million in run-rate revenues prior to its acquisition. He also worked previously in technology investment banking at Lazard Freres and in research at AT&T Bell Labs. Raj holds a BSE in Electrical Engineering from Princeton and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Tim Hamilton
Vice President of Sales
Tim comes to Bloomreach from Zilliant, the market leader in B2B price optimization solutions. As Chief Operating Officer, he led a highly successful transition to the SaaS business model, quadrupling recurring revenues within a year, and put the company on a profitable growth path. Previously, Tim was Senior Vice President of North American Sales at Ariba. Prior to Ariba, Tim co-founded Novera, a successful Java Application Server company that was acquired by Mercator. Tim led sales at Brixton Systems (acquired by CNT) and e-commerce provider Open Market, and started his career with Internet pioneer Bolt, Beranek and Newman (BBN). Tim holds a B.S. in Business from the University of New Hampshire.
Hank LeMieux
Director of Sales
Hank has 14 years of experience selling internet solutions to enterprises, particularly around revenue-generating SaaS products for IR-500 e-retailers. His clients have included Nike, Macy's, Apple, Gap, Eddie Bauer, Williams Sonoma, Hewlett Packard and Walmart.com. He previously managed Adobe Scene7's Western US team, where he grew regional annual sales from $250,000 to $10 million and led the sales roll-outs for numerous new products. Hank has participated in 5 start-ups and began his web career in 1996 as a consultant on SEO and analytics for optimizing online ad spend. He holds an AB from Duke University.
Ashutosh (Ashu) Garg
CTO and Co-founder
Ashutosh is one of the world's leading search engineers. Prior to co-founding BloomReach with Raj de Datta, he was a Staff Scientist at Google for over four years, where he led eight product launches. Before Google, Ashutosh was at IBM research, where he was awarded an IBM Fellowship. A prolific publisher/inventor in information retrieval, machine learning and search, Ashu has written a book on machine learning, contributed to over 30 academic research papers and holds more than 50 patents. Ashutosh earned his BTech from IIT-Delhi (where he received a Best Thesis award) and his PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he was given the outstanding researcher award.
Will Uppington
Head of Product
Will comes to BloomReach with years of product management and marketing experience. Previously, he was Director of Product Management at Clearwell Systems, where he built a market leading product that tripled in revenues in his last year at the company. Prior to that, he worked in product marketing and management at Juniper Networks, which acquired his previous companies, Netscreen and Neoteris. Will managed the SSL VPN product line, growing it over 300% to a $110M+ revenue run rate. Will also spent several years building early-stage tech companies at Advent International and as a strategy consultant at BCG. He holds a BA from Dartmouth College and MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker and Siebel Scholar.
Joelle Kaufman
Head of Marketing
Joelle comes to BloomReach with years of marketing and business leadership. Previously, she was SVP of Marketing and Product for Adify (now Cox Digital Solutions) leading the company through and after the $300M acquisition by Cox. Previously, Joelle was the VP of Marketing and Sales Development for Reactivity, creating the XML Infrastructure category leading to the $130M acquisition by Cisco. Joelle spent many years in Product Management, Sales Management and Business Development at companies including RSA Security, Lifespire and Firefly Networks. She holds a BA from the University of Michigan and MBA from Harvard Business School, where she was a Baker Scholar.
